Films

Imagine being able to have a soundtrack of your life. Little squeals of joy, infectious giggles, the sweet voices of your precious children, the way your partner says your name.

Every once in a while you might cross paths with people who truly inspire and move you. Jonathan and Janetta are two. Their love transcends their circumstances. A few months after they got married, Jonathan was diagnosed with ALS. I can only imagine that their journey has been a challenging one but their love is so evident and deep - for each other, and for their son Tyson. I am so grateful and honored to have had the chance to spend time with their family making this little film and capturing Jonathan's voice before he lost his ability to speak. May their days together continue to be filled with joy, smiles and laughter.

The MICHELSENS | ANACORTES. WA

This little film captured the Powell family just before they transitioned from a family of four to a family of five. I met Jordan and James when I photographed their wedding several years ago, captured the early years of them becoming parents to gorgeous twin girls and I loved being able to add music, sound and motion to the mix.

FAMILIES

Michael and Kalee came to Panama City Beach, FL, to celebrate their love in the time of Covid-19. They had initially planned to have their wedding in Jamaica, but those plans got thwarted by the pandemic and they had to change their venue. As Kalee said, it wasn't the wedding she planned, but it's the one she'd always wanted. I thought it was so meaningful and beautiful. I was honored to be part of their celebrations and to witness their love for each other. It's so obvious to anyone watching them together. I wish them love and laughter always.

She wore her momma's dress - no alterations needed - and her grandma's pearls. His parents flew in from Germany and his dad officiated. They celebrated their nuptials by leaving their wedding ceremony with a dance inspired by The Office, a series they love. I've never seen a more laid back couple. and it was so sweet seeing how excited they were to become man and wife. They were just two people who put God, each other and their closest family above all else, and who wanted to kick back and really enjoy their special day with each other and those who were present. Here's to many happy, loving years! It was so much fun for me to be a part of this.

COUPLES

Randy's last wish was to see the ocean and the beach for the first time. At the age of 52, he finally managed to fulfill his dream. Diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, he submitted his request to the James Bess Foundation which grants lost dreams to adults struggling with a life threatening illness. They partnered with local nonprofit All Things PCB Outreach and together we all helped to make this a truly memorable trip for Randy and his brother Jimmie. I was honored to spend two days with them to make this legacy film for Randy and his family. Sadly, Randy passed away on 11 March 2020. Rest in Peace, Randy.
